About me
Hi, I’m Stella!
I believe therapy should feel supportive, grounding and spacious, and move at a pace that feels right for you.
Many of the people I work with can see the patterns they're stuck in - whether that's people-pleasing, anxiety or constantly second-guessing themselves - but can't quite understand why they keep happening.
Over time, it's easy to lose touch with yourself as you adapt to others' expectations, difficult experiences or simply the demands of everyday life. Therapy can be a place to slow down, reconnect with who you are beneath those patterns, and begin creating a life that feels more like your own.
You might recognise yourself in this…
You spend a lot of time overthinking, second-guessing yourself, or trying to get things "right”
You're living with anxiety, low mood or depression, and it's beginning to affect your relationships, work or enjoyment of life
You're burnt out from constantly holding everything together and don't know how much longer you can keep going
You've spent years adapting to other people's expectations and have lost touch with what you actually want
You understand your patterns intellectually, but still feel stuck in them emotionally
You struggle with people-pleasing, perfectionism, masking or setting healthy boundaries
You don't always feel truly seen, heard or understood by the people around you
You notice the same relationship patterns repeating, even though you desperately want something different
Part of you longs for change, while another part feels scared of letting go of what's familiar
You're navigating a transition and no longer feel like the version of yourself you used to be
You've been reading self-help books, listening to podcasts or trying to work things out on your own, but still don't know where to begin
You're ready to make a meaningful change - you just aren't sure what the first step looks like
How I work
Therapy with me is collaborative, gentle and guided by what feels right for you. I believe therapy should offer a supportive, grounding space where you can slow down, explore your experiences and reconnect with yourself at a pace that feels comfortable.
Many of the struggles people bring to therapy - such as anxiety, depression, burnout, self-doubt or people-pleasing - are patterns that developed for a reason. Rather than seeing these as personal failings, we can begin to understand them as ways you've learnt to cope, adapt or protect yourself.
Together we'll explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, helping you better understand yourself, reconnect with your needs, and build greater self-trust. Alongside this, where it feels helpful, I'll support you in developing practical tools and ways of coping that you can use between sessions and long after our work together has ended.
My work is grounded in an integrative, relational approach, drawing from person-centred counselling, Gestalt therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory and nervous system-informed approaches, depending on what will best support you.
